Job Title: Financial Management Advisor – U.S. Space Force Japan
Location: Yokota Air Base, Japan
Schedule: Part-time, 20–25 hours per week, Monday–Friday
Anticipated Start: 21 September 2026
Position Summary:
Provide financial advisory and administrative support to U.S. Space Force Japan, including budget planning, execution, forecasting, financial analysis, funding documentation, and coordination with higher headquarters and other organizations.
Primary Duties:

Monitor budgets, obligations, expenditures, and funding status.

Prepare financial reports, forecasts, briefings, and budget documents.

Identify funding gaps, risks, and opportunities.

Coordinate with budget managers, contracting personnel, and leadership.

Support acquisition and funding-request documentation.

Develop Excel tools and recommend process improvements.

Prepare and deliver PowerPoint presentations.
-
Travel occasionally, up to approximately 10%.
Minimum Requirements:

At least five years of budget, finance, accounting, or resource-management experience.

Working knowledge of DoD financial terminology and general accounting principles.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Current or obtainable U.S.–Japan SOFA status.

Active TS/SCI clearance or TS/SCI eligibility held within the past three years and capable of reinstatement, subject to government verification.

Ability to obtain Yokota Air Base access, a CAC, and NIPRNet access.
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field.

Master’s degree, CPA, or professional financial-management certification.

Experience supporting DoD financial operations.
-
Experience with space operations or space acquisitions.
