Position Overview

We are seeking a professional, customer-focused individual to serve as a Golf Course Pro Shop Attendant & Starter. This dual-role position requires managing daily pro shop operations while also ensuring the smooth flow of play on the golf course.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of golf-playing experience and a solid understanding of the game, rules, and etiquette. Strong sales skills, professionalism, and the ability to provide outstanding customer service are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Greet customers and provide excellent service in a professional manner.
Operate point-of-sale (POS) system for merchandise, tee times, and rentals.
Sell golf equipment, apparel, and accessories while assisting customers with product selection.
Maintain merchandise displays, restock shelves, and ensure the pro shop is organized.
Serve as course starter: coordinate tee times, manage pace of play, and enforce course rules.
Answer customer questions regarding course layout, policies, and promotions.
Assist with tournament and event setup as required.
Maintain accurate cash handling and daily sales reports.
Support golf course operations as directed by management.

Minimum Qualifications

At least 2 years of golf-playing experience (knowledge of rules, etiquette, and course play required).
Previous retail, sales, or customer service experience preferred.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light physical tasks.
